Hello folks…

As you we all know today the most lucrative and hottest job in computer science is data scientist and Machine Learning expert which are giving descent packages and considered as an sector to growth very fast and at rapid rate..

I am interested in machine learning and data science part since they give us challenge to tackle with real world problems like Image processing ,OCR , future prediction blah blah !!!…. which are very close to the real world and day to day problems. we used to call them as mundane tasks in artificial intelligence as they are very hard to do with a artifact but easy for a normal human.

As a person who has good academic background i always want to go in a path where my seniors paved for us and useful for not to think much about way to follow. Data science and Machine learning are two intersecting parts which can give you a way to do lot of research and innovation. There are multiple problems in artificial intelligence which are not even started yet and some are in still research period. So there will be huge space for you success.

I don’t consider internship in engineering last year to be best option if we want to enjoy college life as it won’t come back and moreover i firmly believe that every core engineer should test his/her soundness in basic concepts.In my view it would be better to attempt GATE at the time of your college days only as like GOVT. also thinking the same that every graduate should attempt graduate aptitude test(GATE) as i heard from somewhere..

Then why did i attempt to jotter.AI ?

I was thinking i can go for companies after my attempt of GATE in this last year of my engineering. I was told by my beloved guide that jotter , synopsis and some big companies in terms of packages will come after the month of February,2019. But unexpectedly jotter want to visit iiit nuzvid in the month of august 2018 which is contrary to my previous information. Initially i thought i don’t want to give the test but later my guide instructed me that i can also go for direct placement. So i registered for campus recruitment of jotter.AI

What makes me to apply for jotter.AI ?

Due to Job profile that was mentioned as data scientist intern in a given INF form attracted me to attempt and assurance that i got from my ex placement incharge.

What are the Packages offered ?

        In internship they offered 35 k and pre placement offer of 7-15 lpa CTC.

What are rounds in internship drive ?

round1 –  competitive programming in hacker rank given by the alumni of iiit basar. Coding is very easy and at three levels each question at a level like very easy,easy,medium.

round2 – Questions that are related to Deep learning , machine learning and computer vision.

round3 – Technical Interview 1

round4 – Technical Interview 2

round5 – Formal Talk with CEO

Jotter always want to ask things related to projects on which they are currently working.

What is my Performance in each round ?

In round 1, they gave 3 programming questions which are very logical and i attempted 3 out 3 programming question and got 95/100 marks in programming round. They are very easy if you think at least minimum but many of my co students didn’t.

In round 2 , they gave questions like

1.What is convolution operator ? and use of it ?

2. What is SVM and linear regression ?

3. Difference between parameters and hyper parameters ?

4. Draw some activation functions ?

5.what is point cloud , mesh and some 3d image processing ?

I attempted half of the paper correctly and selected for the next round in out of 12 members.

In round 3 , I went to panel1 in which interviewer was iiit basar alumini. He asked me about introduction, given some practical question and gathered information about the packages which i know in python and all….

In round 4, I was sent to panel 2 in which interviewer is principal data scientist of jotter.ai,Mr.Chandra Sekhar pati. He took light my interview and asked for mistake i did in a programming at which i lost 5 marks out of 100 marks. I told him that i am not interested in internship and want to come as a full employee after my completion of graduation since i need to learn a lot in data science and machine learning.But they want me to come their company any way as a intern which i don’t go for..

In round5, two were selected from each branch(cse,ece). I am from cse and don’t want to go for internship due to already mentioned reasons but in this round CEO asked me bargain internship stipend at which i was diverted and agreed to join as an intern for a beautiful amount(>5k to my bargain).

What are Major points to attract employer or recruiter ?

I did my internship in IIT Bombay, premier institute for CS engineers.

Awarded as a top coder of CSE for the year 2k19

I did my intern on recommendation system, part of machine learning

Few more little with which i was awarded….

Try to make every thing big and show your self as tech giant before recruiter. I am not a much talented guy but tried and succeeded in making show case..

Why did i left my intern after 1 month duration only ?

I am not interested in doing any internship in my last year nevertheless i went because i like profile and thought there would be growth. As a tech enthusiast always my soul interested in making most elegant and concise models  but without knowing deeps of the subject you sometimes may not do that. I never feel regret in joining of jotter since it is good experience for me.so i always suggested one to learn first and then make wonders in that field so that we can do justice for our recruited company.

Note ::— Don’t worry for placement or a single company if you know coding very well and if you already have experience in digging of concepts , there are always number of companies.. this is applicable only if you have talent and hard work only…
